Silver Pines early walkthrough: General Store, motel and ferry

This walkthrough covers the opening area and Crimson Bear Motel, ending at the ferry. It reveals puzzle solutions and key locations along that route.

How do you reach the General Store?

Collect the Car Key and check the diner kitchen’s rack for the Diner Key. Work through the starting area to the pharmacy, where the staff room contains the Underpass Key. Use the underpass to reach the General Store.

Explore reachable rooms for supplies before moving on. Coffee increases maximum stamina, while ammunition and healing items help you make it through the encounters between the area’s locked doors.

What is the General Store freezer code?

Enter 2311. The clue combines 23 with the calendar day, 11. Put the digits together; adding the two numbers to make 34 will not open the keypad.

Search the bag at the back of the freezer for the Check-In Key. You need it at the motel office, so collect it before returning through the underpass.

Where do you go after finding the boxcutter?

The boxcutter opens plastic barriers that previously blocked the route. Cut the tarp on the store’s left side, then make your way through the underground tunnel toward the motel check-in.

If you are walking in circles underground, check the far-left ledge. You can jump upward there and climb back toward the motel route. The nearby one-way door is not the only way out.

At the check-in office, cut its plastic barrier too. Use the Check-In Key on the locked container and read the Motel Guest Ledger.

What is the Crimson Bear Motel gate code?

Find Eddie Velvet in the guest ledger and use the five-digit guest number recorded for him.

This number varies between saves. Read your own ledger rather than enter the number displayed in someone else’s walkthrough. The General Store’s 2311 solution and Eddie’s guest number are separate puzzles.

How do you open the Game Room and reach the pool?

The Electrical Fuse (40A) is on the far-right table in the gift-shop basement. Take it to the Game Room’s outside fusebox to restore power.

Inside the Game Room, collect the BB Pellets and use the mounted shooting game. Winning gives you the Poolside Key.

Go to the pool changing room and search the shirt for the Grizzly Suite Keycard. In the suite, collect the Pool Net, Welcome Booklet and Snub .38 Revolver. The net is the important next tool for the pool puzzle.

Where is the Cleaning Solution?

Start in Room 5. Cut through its fabric barrier, go down through the hole in the floor, then follow the route past the insects and through the vent to reach the Cleaning Solution.

Looking only at Room 5’s main floor misses the item: the room is the entrance to the hidden route, not the entire search area.

How do you get the Door Knob from the pool?

Use the Pool Net to recover the Grime Covered Object from the pool drain. Combine it with Cleaning Solution to reveal the Door Knob.

Bring the knob to the palm-tree door in the gift-shop basement and fit it to the door. This opens the next part of the route.

Where is the Ferry Station Key?

Follow the vision sequence beyond the basement door and operate its switches. When you return to the basement, take the Ferry Station Key from the desk.

Answer Jackman’s phone call, continue through the tunnel encounter, then unlock the Ferry Office. Activate the control board and board the ferry to leave this opening area.

If you reached the ferry but cannot proceed, check the basement desk and your key inventory before retracing the pool puzzle.

How do you open the gift-shop shotgun locker?

For the optional W-500, read the suite’s Welcome Booklet to learn how room calls work. Call Room 3 using 58883. That conversation gives the locker code 6671.

This locker code is different from the save-specific motel gate number. Keep the two notes separate when returning to the gift shop.
