Open, store and close
The poster on the right wall already hides a free 2×2 inventory; no purchase or unlock is needed. Click the poster to lift it and open the storage window. Drag in owned items whose shape fits, rotating if needed. Drag them back out to retrieve them, then click the poster back down. The small capacity, not a contraband-tier whitelist, limits what fits. Closing the storage window alone is not the same check as covering the poster: confirm the poster itself is down before opening the shop.
What ordinary inspections do
During ordinary or showcase-triggered full inspections, a covered poster protects its contents from the normal search. An uncovered poster is searched recursively, including ordinary nested containers. A plain box is not a smuggler bay. Protected bays stop the search into their own contents; locks and behind-lock states have their own protection. Moving ordinary goods out of the poster does not make them permanently hidden.
Hidden contraband or stolen goods still prevent the clean-inspection Security+3 bonus even when not found. The lazy inspector’s separate trash exemption does not mean all containers are ignored. Lun’s day 24 story search checks only top-level narcotics in the main inventory, two counters and showcase, not this poster or container interiors. These are distinct search rules; use the matching encounter’s guide.
