How overlapping categories work
An item can belong to several categories at once. These are overlapping labels, not 60 mutually exclusive inventory folders. A product family, a material level, a restricted status and an equipment role can all describe the same item. Read the bracketed labels in its tooltip, then compare them with the buyer’s green interests and red exclusions.
The table marks the 11 major families. More specific labels distinguish fresh food from processed food, seeds from modified seeds, or a generic module from a hydroponic/alarm/printer/evaporator module. Legal labels such as Contraband and Restricted I–III must be checked alongside the ordinary product family. Not For Resale prevents ordinary customer sales.
“All types” and “all except contraband” are broad purchasing preferences. They are not extra item families, and still do not override refusals, budgets or inspection. For an actual item’s picture and base reference price, open the item catalogue.
