A shop full of meat needs buyers. A rat or fish operation running out of food needs sellers. The Display Case can help with either task, but the items you put in it do different jobs.
Plan the display before opening
- Decide whether today’s shortage is stock or customers to buy your stock.
- Put ordinary goods in the Display Case, to the left of the shutter, when you want buyers for that category. Use a
Food Neon Sign when you need sellers bringing food. - Remove signs and special attractors for visits you do not need today. Double-click the
Black Lamp to choose its target group, then put it in the case. - Open Clientele beside the display. Read the merchandise-buyers section and the normal-customers section separately.
- Keep money for purchases, space for deliveries and sellable stock for buyers. Then open the shutter.
The day’s customers are determined by the shop’s condition when the shutter opens. Rearranging the display after opening prepares a later day; it does not replace the visitors already chosen.
Keep contraband out of the case. Check risky goods with the crime and hidden-storage guide before putting them on public display.
Read the two parts of Clientele
Expected Buyers From Displayed Merchandise shows the buyers attracted by ordinary goods. Their category comes from what you display; displayed value also affects the buyers’ budgets. Focus the display on the stock you want to sell.
Categories compete by total displayed value, rather than item count. The case chooses the highest-value categories up to its available slots, with one buyer per chosen category. Displaying only food still gives one food-category buyer, even with several slots. Filling the case with more meat does not create several private-chef visits.
Expected Normal Customers is a separate, limited pool. Neon signs, Black Lamp, Scavenger’s Tokens and the appraisal certificate can influence these visits. Unfilled places are available for random customers. A percentage beside a visitor is a chance to take one of those places, rather than a new place added to the day.
Read this screen again after moving an attractor. It helps distinguish an empty merchandise display from a normal-customer pool that is already busy with other visitor types.

Choose goods for buyers and signs for sellers
| What you want | What to put in the Display Case | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Buyers for food, water or another stock category | Ordinary merchandise of that category | Enough suitable goods to offer when the buyer arrives |
| Sellers bringing a particular category | Its neon sign, such as |
Purchase money and storage space |
| Thieves offering stock | Money, storage and a plan for stolen goods | |
| Scavenger visits | Money for their possible offers | |
| Appraisal-service customers | The relevant guides and inspection tools |
Signs and Black Lamp can be found among Dr. Jackson’s shop goods. Check his current stock. Read the inspection-tools guide before attracting appraisal work.
A Food Neon Sign seeks food sellers. It does not sell your surplus meat. To sell food, display food and inspect the merchandise-buyer forecast. The buyer still has a budget and requirements, so keep the goods and quantity you can actually offer in mind.
Why Black Lamp can crowd out ordinary sellers
Black Lamp directs the ordinary-customer pool towards thieves; Black Market reputation affects the response chance. A thief visit can therefore take a place that might otherwise have gone to another normal visitor. Adding more attractors does not turn every listed chance into an extra customer.
The checks have an order: Scavenger’s Tokens come before Black Lamp targets, and both come before category signs. Water is checked before food; the appraisal certificate follows the category signs. Once successful earlier checks fill the normal-customer places, later choices get no turn that day.
Repeating an identical neon sign does not add another check. More Scavenger’s Tokens increase the chance of the single scavenger entry. Black Lamps set to the same group combine their chances into one entry, rather than creating one thief per lamp. Use Clientele’s current percentages to judge the arrangement.
If you need ordinary food suppliers more than stolen stock, take the lamp out of the Display Case, remove unrelated attractors and inspect the forecast again. Put the Food Neon Sign in the case and keep enough money to buy a useful delivery. When you need thieves again, put the lamp back and recheck its setting.

Move unwanted attractors out of the case, then compare the normal-customer list. Earlier Simplified Chinese interface;

For a shop raising animals, the purpose is a dependable food buffer. Follow the feeding instructions in rat breeding or fish farming, and match production to what you can feed and sell.
Add capacity and keep the shop attractive
The basic case provides one merchandise-buyer slot. Showcase Expansion I, Showcase Expansion II and an active Buyer Referral Service each add one slot in an undamaged shop. Extra physical display space and extra buyers are useful when you have stock ready to sell.
Buy these network upgrades through Joe Wild. Buyer Referral Service has a nightly payment: owning the introduction and keeping the service active are separate steps. Seller Referral Service addresses supply instead; it is not another showcase expansion.
Merchandise does not attract its buyers when shop attractiveness is below 100. At exactly 100, this restriction no longer applies. Check the attractiveness panel, arrange Janitorial Service when cleaning is due, and inspect any damage before spending on more signs. Renovations improve base attractiveness; a Mirage Projector charges overnight for its following-day effect. Recheck Clientele after preparing the shop.
The first day of the introduction also excludes merchandise buyers. Starting with the introduction skipped does not have that first-day exclusion.
Troubleshoot tomorrow’s customer plan
| Problem | What to check before opening |
|---|---|
| The forecast detects no merchandise | Put sale goods in the case; signs and certificates do a different job |
| Goods are displayed but no merchandise buyers appear | Check attractiveness is at least 100 and whether this is the first tutorial day |
| Several slots are available but only one food buyer is listed | One merchandise category takes one slot; more food does not become more categories |
| Food is piling up although the Food Neon Sign is displayed | Replace the supply-focused plan with displayed food and check the buyer section |
| You need ordinary sellers but keep getting thieves | Remove Black Lamp and unrelated attractors; inspect normal-customer choices |
| You placed many different signs but the wanted seller is still rare | Reduce competing attractors instead of treating every percentage as another slot |
| A buyer arrives but takes little or nothing | Check budget, requested category and the stock you can offer |
| You changed the display midway through the day | Finish tomorrow’s arrangement before opening the shutter |
Use the beginner guide for inspection, offers and inventory handling. This customer plan decides whom you try to bring to the counter; the trade still needs suitable stock, cash and space.
