How do you get rid of radioactive waste?
Carry the barrels to the Dumping Grounds, put each one directly on the ground and confirm leaving them behind. If Georgio brings them back, finish his return encounter and make another disposal trip.
Recognize the barrel and make room in your backpack
Each barrel takes a rectangle 3 squares wide and 4 squares high. Pack only as many as your backpack can hold, then select that backpack for your outing. A backpack left in the shop does not carry its contents outside.

The after-closing destination menu lists the Dumping Grounds on the right. Chinese UI; build not shown. Gameplay by 诺亚_普金斯, 03:13, published 2026-09-22.
Take the barrels out and leave them behind
- Pack the barrels, then select that backpack in the after-closing outing options. Choose the backpack that contains the waste, rather than another bag in your shop.
- After closing the shop, visit the Dumping Grounds. This is the scavenging location on the map.
- Move every barrel from your backpack onto the ground. Leave the individual barrels directly in the ground inventory. Barrels still in your backpack or pockets travel home with you.
- Take back anything else you want to keep. Leaving discards the other items on the ground too.
- Choose to return and confirm the warning about abandoned items. Putting the barrels down without completing departure does not finish the trip.
You do not need to perform a scavenging attempt to discard barrels. If you have more than fit in your backpack, deal with the remaining barrels on a later trip.

Three waste barrels directly in the left-hand Ground inventory at the Dumping Grounds. Chinese UI; build not shown. Gameplay by 阿风某人, 01:34, published 2026-10-12.
Why did Georgio bring the waste back?
Georgio treats your first discarded barrels as forgotten belongings and returns them to the shop. The return is a story encounter, not a sign that you put the barrels in the wrong place. He returns the recorded number of discarded barrels, which can be several at once.
Let him finish returning them. Pack the returned barrels, visit the Dumping Grounds again, put them directly on the ground and confirm departure. In Demo 049-Rev5-L, use the same disposal steps again after finishing the first return encounter.
His visit depends on the story schedule. Do not expect him to be the very next customer after your first trip.
Meet Georgio in his character entry, with his trading visits, spaceship loan and repayment story.
Why do selling and trash collection fail?
| What you tried | What happens | What to do instead |
|---|---|---|
| Leave a barrel on the shop counter for closing cleanup | It reappears on the counter the next morning | Pack it in your selected outing backpack |
| Offer a barrel to an ordinary customer | Customers refuse hazardous waste | Take it to the Dumping Grounds |
| Put a barrel in the shop trash and pay for collection | Collection skips hazardous waste | Carry the barrel out yourself |
| Keep it inside your outing backpack at the Dumping Grounds | Its contents return to the shop | Move the barrel directly onto the ground before leaving |
| Discard it once, then find it in the shop again | Georgio can return the first batch | Finish his encounter, then discard the returned barrels again |
The ground disposal described here is for the Dumping Grounds. Dropping an item at another outing location is not the same operation.
Is the 100-credit offer a disposal fee?
The waste manager pays you to accept the barrels. You are taking on the work of getting rid of them; you are not buying a collection service.
| Offer accepted | Payment to you |
|---|---|
| 1 barrel | 100 credits |
| 3 barrels | 300 credits |
| 5 barrels | 500 credits |
Before accepting, compare the barrel count with your available storage and transport space. More barrels mean more space and potentially more disposal trips. For a first encounter, taking fewer keeps the job smaller. Going out at night usually means opening late the next day and serving one fewer customer.
