The note

Certain items can be relabeled. For example, you can label a counterfeit box of cigarettes as genuine to raise its price.

Beware — most workers, Security Officers, and Lower Level citizens are familiar with common item fraud. Scam attempts will fail and result in a penalty to your Reputation. While Scavengers are also familiar with item fraud, they often don’t carry the equipment required to test for authenticity, if any is needed. Tourists and Upper Level citizens, however, are generally less aware. But sooner or later, people will find out.

Getting the note and labeler

Labeler

With the opening tutorial retained, the note and a red Labeler arrive when you open on day 4. A blue Labeler edits custom names; use the red one to change a supported product label.

Apply it to the product you are selling

Relabeling changes the claim, not the actual quality or authenticity. Ordinary Tourists and Upper Level buyers do not inspect cigarette authenticity. Ordinary Scavengers can spot fake cigarettes visually, even without a water-testing kit. Check the requested goods and the buyer before putting a pack on the counter.
