Which Demo changes can you use right away?
Water Merchant now starts with testing and purification equipment. If you chose that start, use the water guide to begin testing and treating water.
Toolbox: switch tools with number keys
Store your regular tools in the Toolbox, then press 1–9 to equip the item in the matching slot. Scrap Metal upgrades it for more tools, and the interface shows how many slots are unlocked.
Bottle Printer: upgrades are available
The pre-programmed printer makes small Water Bottles, and the Demo adds upgrades. Its interface lists small, regular and large bottle printing options with their energy costs. Upgrades use Common Electronics; check the upgrade button for the amount required.
Vacuum Robot: burn collected waste after upgrading
The robot collects nearby animal feces overnight and can also clean up when activated manually. Upgrade it with a Common Electronic to unlock a built-in incinerator. When enabled, it burns the stored feces after cleanup.
These controls come from the Demo 049-Rev5-L item descriptions and machine interface. Check the item and base-price reference before shopping for materials.
The official list also mentions a new machine and item, plus fixes and improvements. Read the Demo Content section for the full comparison.
Why do other guides list more professions?
The store page’s general description mentions trades such as Gunsmith and Chemist, and the game files contain thirteen scenario definitions. Demo Content gives the trial’s start count; your opening menu shows the available choices.
The starting-scenario comparison covers those professions, their equipment, stock and costs. Once you are inside the shop, follow the beginner guide for daily trading and rent decisions.
Store information was checked on September 29, 2026. Toolbox and machine details, along with their sprites, come from Demo 049-Rev5-L, Steam build 25382790.
