What does a chemist sell?

Process ingredients into chemical products, then inspect composition and purity before selling. Several machines handle each batch, so you move the same container between them. Learn one complete product workflow before adding more materials.

What equipment do you need?

Chemical Supplies (Common)

Chemical Supplies are ingredient packs. Use the Composition Spectrometer on a liquid container or chemical product to see its contents. Prepare containers and power, and allow a night for evaporation.

• The Blender turns ingredients into pulp. Upgrades improve extraction yield.
• The Hot Plate heats the mixture. Upgrades improve maximum temperature, control and speed.
• The Evaporator removes liquids such as water and alcohol overnight and needs power.
• The Chemical Former makes the final product. Upgrades reduce impurities introduced during processing.

Move each batch in this order. Inspect the container before changing machines so you know which step is complete.

How does the caffeine example work?

1. Attach a liquid container to the Blender, add coffee beans and blend them into pulp.
2. Move that container to the Hot Plate. The manual recommends alcohol at three to six times the pulp volume and a temperature of at least 80°C.
3. Filter with Kotton fabric if you need to remove large particles.
4. Put the container into a powered Evaporator and let it work overnight.
5. Check that all water and alcohol have evaporated, then move the container to the Chemical Former.
6. Select the caffeine recipe, press Output and inspect the finished product with the spectrometer.

What should you check if forming fails or purity is low?

Check whether evaporation finished and whether the former has the correct recipe selected. Finish removing remaining water and alcohol first. Then inspect the spectrometer reading to distinguish the target ingredient from impurities.

Customers may carry scanners to check the purity on your label. Price the product using its measured contents. The manual lists 90% to 99% as pharmaceutical grade, 80% to 90% as near-pharmaceutical and 60% to 80% as street standard. Purity affects the product’s value.

Which machine should you upgrade?

Chemical Equipment Module

Improve the Blender for yield, the Hot Plate for temperature and processing speed, and the Former for impurities introduced in forming. Most chemical machines take special Chemical Equipment Modules. The Evaporator takes ordinary modules. Buy an upgrade for the step currently limiting your batch.
