Get and identify the bottle
Liquid Luck
Georgio places the small bottle on the front counter. Leave room in the middle, finish the dialogue and move the gift into your inventory.
| Normal character story | Acquisition |
|---|---|
| Day 27 | Georgio gives one after his introduction; it already belongs to you |
| Day 32 | Georgio offers three for sale; buy them to take ownership |
Neither visit requires the Chemist start or a chemistry specialization. The later wholesale offer has a 20% bulk discount; read the trading panel for the actual price. Endless skips this character-story schedule. Other visits and loans are covered on Georgio’s page.
Liquid Luck is a special whole-bottle consumable. Obtain it through those visits and trades; the chemistry finishing machine has no recipe for it.
Consume, duration and stacking
- Take ownership first. The gift is yours immediately; purchase the later stock.
- Choose Consume in the item menu, or double-click according to your activation setting.
- Drinking leaves an empty 250 mL Mini Bottle. Then perform the actions you want luck to affect.
Each sleep removes one from the remaining duration. The night log announces when it reaches zero. The active bonus stays at +75; other luck modifiers add to it. For example, a previous total of 5 becomes 80.
| Bottles consumed from no active effect | Luck bonus | Duration in sleeps |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | +75 | 3 |
| 2 | +75 | 6 |
| 3 | +75 | 9 |
Each additional bottle adds three sleeps to the time already remaining.
Weekly lottery: stored luck and draw timing
A weekly ticket records total luck when it is created. The draw uses the highest of your current luck and the creation-luck records on your owned tickets for that edition. Buying a ticket already generated by a seller does not rewrite its record. Current luck at the draw can still help that older ticket.
Sleep reduces potion time before drawing the lottery. If only one sleep remains when you go to bed, the current +75 expires first. To use the active effect for that night’s draw, have at least two sleeps remaining. A ticket created while the effect was active can retain its higher record after the effect ends.
Effective luck 75 gives that edition a 75% chance of one extra candidate set of winning numbers. The game keeps the candidate paying the greater total across all your eligible tickets. Another ticket does not add another 75 luck.
For one owned ticket in the current edition, with no other luck modifiers:
| Single-ticket outcome | Draw luck 0 | Draw luck 75 |
|---|---|---|
| Any prize | About 15.10% | About 24.72% |
| Jackpot | 1 in 13,983,816 | About 1 in 7,990,752 |
With several tickets, selection compares their combined prize. The single-ticket probabilities cannot be applied separately to each ticket. For redemption, see the Commissary.
Scratchers: drink before opening an unrevealed card
An older
Scratcher Ticket can benefit too. If no complete symbol region has been revealed, close and reopen the card after drinking. A higher current luck regenerates all three symbols. Once one region has been fully revealed, the other two retain the old results as well.
Each region favors a symbol: the first favors Nutrifruit, the second favors the first region’s result, and the third depends on the first two. Raising total luck from 0 to 75 changes each favored-symbol conditional probability from 20% to 35%. Complete-card outcomes are:
| Fully scratched card | Recorded luck 0 | Recorded luck 75 |
|---|---|---|
| Any prize | 52% | About 68.31% |
| Three Nutrifruit, 350 Credits | 0.8% | About 4.29% |
Scratch every region before redeeming a winning card.
Full ticket acquisition, prize tables, cashout choices and old-paper handling are covered in the lottery and scratcher guide.
Crates, scavenging and inspections
| Action | What luck changes | Timing and conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Five supply-crate types | Luck-sensitive contents multiply their entry chance by 1 + luck / 100; for example, 20% becomes 35% | Drink before ordinary unlocking. An older crate refills only if unscanned and current luck exceeds its recorded luck |
| Dumping Grounds search | After an injury roll, luck can prevent that injury; total luck 75 gives this rescue a 75% chance | Drink before searching. The attempt is still used, and the rescued injury branch does not also award loot |
| Security inspection | After detection, one successful luck check clears the complete detected-item list | Keep the effect active when inspected. This is one check for the list, rather than one for each item |
The crate types are Evidence, Medical, Security, Service and Engineering. Scanned crates keep their contents. Ordinary scavenging loot weights, extra tool materials and backpack chances are calculated separately. Prepare with the Dumping Grounds guide and check hiding and inspection procedures in the Security guide.
Plan one bottle around unrevealed scratchers, unscanned crates and your next scavenging trip. Then check whether its remaining duration covers the lottery night. For a lasting starting modifier, see starting traits.
