Set up a transfer

Buy an intake and outlet from Jackson; his normal stock includes both from day 21. Each has a base value of 300 credits. Put the intake inside the source inventory and the outlet inside a different destination inventory. They move the other owned items in those inventories, not items placed inside the hopper.

  1. Use either hopper on its counterpart to link them. Both must belong to you.
  2. Double-click the intake to open its settings. Start with all items, no retained stock, and leave space at the destination.
  3. Press Transfer now, or double-click the outlet to run all its linked intakes.
  4. Check both inventories. Items that do not fit remain at the source.

Filter and keep supplies

The allowed list moves only listed item types; an empty allowed list moves nothing. The blocked list moves everything except listed types. Add a type by selecting an actual item. The keep setting retains 0–20 units of each type, not 20 items total. Owned, removable goods qualify; hoppers themselves do not move through this operation. Linking two hoppers in the same inventory does not transfer anything.

For example, put an intake in your main inventory and an outlet in a storage bay. Allow only Scrap Metal and keep 2. With 7 units at the source, a manual run sends up to 5 to storage. Confirm that small trial before adding more types.

Choose the execution time

Order Night phase
1–5 Before machines
6–10 After machines
11–15 After everything

Use the early phase to supply a compatible input inventory and the later phase to collect output. The intake can also run when an item enters its inventory or when the intake moves. These switches are off initially. Transfers do not run while you are outside the shop. To diagnose a stalled link, check ownership, matching filters, retained amounts, accessible items and destination space. Disconnect in the intake settings when changing the route.
