Water Merchant trades the station’s scarce clean water. Test incoming water, choose a treatment and bottle it for sale. You can also keep water for your own winemaking.

Water Trading Manual

Use the manual to check water grades and treatment methods. Test each bottle before choosing a tool.

Starting tools and water

You receive full boxes of test strips and purification tablets, a Water Pitcher, a prebuilt Water Filter and a Portable Water Purifier with 75 durability.

There is also a large bottle of Ghost Water, a jug of low-grade Rustwater and extra large, standard and small bottles. The Bottle Printer starts with 25 power. Test the supplied water, then follow the water guide to choose a treatment.

Test strips and purification tablets

Use a strip to read the water quality. Tablets mainly reduce biological contamination and some chemical contamination. Test again after treatment to see the change.

Fit the filter inside the pitcher

Install the Water Filter in the pitcher before pouring water in. It removes debris, microplastics and organic contamination, using filter durability.

Portable purifier: reach Base Water

Use it on a water container to bring the water to Base grade. It spends 1 durability per 100mL; the starting unit has 75 durability.

Bottle Printer: prepare sale containers

The Water Merchant start includes this machine with 25 power. Print empty bottles for treated water. Supply containers separately when using the Joe Wild referral kit.

How do you treat the first batch?

1. Test the starting Ghost Water and Rustwater separately.
2. Use tablets for the relevant contamination, or pour water into the pitcher with its filter fitted.
3. To make Base Water directly, use the portable purifier on the container.
4. Test again and bottle the water. Set aside better water for sales or winemaking, and record your purchase and consumable costs.

If quality stops improving, check the remaining contamination and change the treatment. Repeating one tool may leave other contaminants untouched. See the water guide for all six grades and equipment choices.
